Calendar - 2018

The Havering Decorative and Fine Arts Society is the local branch of the national organization now known as The Arts Society. Its aim is to cultivate the appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts, and to support the conservation of our national artistic heritage. The Havering branch holds monthly lecture meetings and organizes study days and outings. This month’s lecturer is Patricia Erskine-Hill.

While Upminster Windmill is being restored the Friends of Upminster Windmill will be opening the new visitor centre to the public. Come along and learn about the history of the site and the people who worked there. The team of volunteers will be here to talk with you about the ongoing restoration.

Calling all youngsters to bring your grandparents along to an afternoon of 1940s’ jazz. The Dominic Ashworth jazz group will be playing catchy songs from the golden age of stage and screen.  Concert, with a workshop before to make some percussion instruments. All welcome.
